The Paris Swing Co. completed its fine line of gypsy jazz instruments with this beautiful Paris Swing Parisian F-Style Mandolin featuring signature jazz detailing and superb tone.
If you are a Mandolin enthusiast or Swing player who has for years dreamt of having a gypsy jazz mandolin that you could take to the stage along side haunting gypsy violins and maccaferri/selmer style guitars, you need dream no longer.
Featuring solid tone woods, AAA flamed maple sides, ebony parts and other premium appointments, Paris Swing Mandolins not only look the part but play and sound simply amazing.
Product designer and former Gibson Custom Shop Boss, Greg Rich designed these mandolins with respect to the classic gypsy jazz instruments from the 1930s.
The Parisian Swing Mandolin combines the gypsy jazz look with traditional Flat-Iron or F-style mandolin soundholes.
These mandolins offer the familiar tone most players are accustomed to, and provide the ultimate in volume and power to cut through in an ensemble situation.
The peghead is made from maple with a rosewood overlay, with the distinctive Paris Swing logo in white pearl and gold leaf, and a gorgeous abalone and mother of pearl “Tour Eiffel” inlay.
The unique Parisian model also features a beautiful Deco square pattern in mother of pearl and abalone on the fretboard.
This fine instrument is hand crafted from solid AAA flamed maple (back and sides), a AAA flamed maple neck, a solid sitka spruce top and finished off with grained ivoroid binding.
The result is a visually stunning masterpiece.
Each Paris Swing mandolin has a distinctive right-angle cutaway on the treble side that hark back to the great gypsy jazz instruments.
The bass side of the body features the traditional F-model mandolin scroll.
