The SA Sub is designed as a companion to the SA330x unit and connects easily via an XLR or 6.35mm (¼”) connector. Additional and important features include a Phase Reversal switch, signal limiting, Level indicator, Ground Lift switch and more, all ensuring minimal feedback and clean, quiet performance.
The Fishman SA Sub is simple to connect and voiced to complement the SA330x. This compact and lightweight SA Sub will provide enough low end oomph to fill a 150-person room. For bassists, DJs, presenters and others looking to add enhanced low-end punch to their performances and other broadband program material, the SA Sub is the answer.
A purpose-built subwoofer intended for small-to medium size performance applications, the SA Sub is the perfect solution when portability and Fishman-quality sound are essential.
Setup is simple. The left and right Combo XLR/6.35mm (¼”) inputs are internally summed to mono before feeding the amp. The inputs are then passed through to the dual XLR outputs together without summing or filtering.
The SA Sub’s 30-125 Hz frequency response can be tailored to meet situation specific needs. The crossover’s low-pass filter offers three frequency settings, 80 Hz, 100 Hz and 125 Hz that give you the ability to tune the sub to the situation.
Furthermore, switching off the separate low-frequency extension may help tame boomy low frequencies that can result from problematic room acoustics.
Alternatively, when more pronounced bass is desired, simply turn on the low-frequency extension from the back panel.
There is an LED for indication of signal presence and limiting. Adjust the volume control to suit preferred bass levels or prevent limiting. Hum caused by ground loops can be addressed via a back-panel ground-lift switch. To combat phase issues, use the sub’s phase switch to invert the polarity of the signal.
