SIMPLE ELEGANCE AND BEAUTY
Featuring the distinctive and instantly recognisable, asymmetrical Breedlove headstock, the Premier Concert-E Myrtlewood Acoustic Electric guitar is 100% uniquely Breedlove. Measuring 15″ at the lower bout, the Breedlove Premier Concert-E Myrtlewood Acoustic Electric guitar’s curvaceous concert size body also fits the description of the popular mini-jumbo or grand concert style and is perfect for people of smaller stature or those who simply prefer a slightly smaller sized guitar.
There can be no doubt that the quality of materials, craftsmanship and ultimately the tone and playability are the main focus of the Breedlove Crafstmen. Featuring solid Oregon grown Myrtlewood back and sides, with light figuring. It almost has a three dimensional quality while the bookmatched solid Sitka Spruce top is simply beautiful.
Eastern Hard Rock Maple has been used for the attractive one-piece, shallow-D profile neck and the African Ebony used for the pinless bridge and the fretboard are simply superb. The neck is bolted to the body – an increasingly popular practice with contemporary builders. Other than tone, the other advantage is the relative ease with which a next can be reset – an issue that can crop up with the passage of time and is expensive to fix with more traditional building methods.
The proof is in the playing however and the beautifully balanced tonal qualities of the Myrtlewood Concert-E really shine with incredibly resonant bass, detailed mid-range and a shimmering top end that is almost enetheral.
ELECTRIFYING PERFORMANCE
While Breedlove build exceptional Acoustic Guitars, many guitarists need to amplify their acoustic guitar tone. Microphones work well in the studio but are cumbersome and can be difficult to control in live situations. Without compromise, Breedlove have fitted the Premier Concert with the LR Baggs Element Active VTC system.
Delivering performance previously unattainable from an undersaddle pickup the LR Baggs Element Active System pairs the Element undersaddle transducer with a pre-contoured all-discrete class A endpin preamp and includes small, removable soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls (VTC) for added convenience and versatility. Battery life is up to an incredible 1000 hours.
