Cosmic Egg was the second album from Aussie rocker-monsters Wolfmother and the first with their new line-up.

Recorded between April and May 2009 at Sound City Studios and Sunset Sound Studios in Los Angeles, California, the album was a worldwide success for Stockdale and his bandmates and cemented their position amongst Rock s elite and their status as the new classic rock band. Andrew Stockdale explained that the title of the album Cosmic Egg came from a yoga position.

Fans of their earlier work were not disappointed and this new batch of songs, still unashamedly in thrall to the retro sounds of Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Black Sabbath culminated in the album s nomination for the International Classic Rock Album of the Year award in 2010.
