This is the Moeck Rottenburgh 4300 Alto recorder. Designed by Friederich von Huene, this series of professional quality recorders are modelled on the celebrated works of Belgian Atelier, Jean-Hyacinth-Joseph Rottenburgh (1672-1756). Versatile, reliable and played by all levels of musicians who enjoy instruments made to the highest standards. The Rottenburgh is the instrument of choice for the recorder player who wishes to playing at an advanced level. Whether played in small or large ensembles, the 4300 is a reliable instrument with a wonderful voice and carrying tone. It also the ideal instrument for solo pieces, e.g. for sonatas with basso continuo.

The Rottenburgh 4300 is the ideal all rounder with a balanced, full tone. It is characterised by a soft fundamental tone and a warm full sound for ensemble playing along with a beautiful clarity making it an expressive solo instrument.

This Moeck 4300 Rottenburgh alto is made from Maple and is our most popular model. The Austrian Maple is hard, fine grained, porous and resilient. Moeck have specially impregnated the Maple, meaning that there is no need for further oiling.

This recorder comes with a hard case, cleaning rod and cloth, cork grease, fingering chart and maintenance instructions.
