CAPO: (short for capodastro, capo tasto or capotasto [kapoˈtasto], Italian for “head of fretboard” is a device used on the neck of a stringed instrument to shorten the playable length of the strings, thereby raising the pitch. The word derives from the Italian “capotasto” which means the nut of a stringed instrument. The Capo is generally used to raise the pitch of a fretted instrument so it may play in a different key using the same open position fingerings shapes and patterns. The Capo may also used to dampen strings when playing with the “tapping” method.

Featuring Silicon Free Rubber Pads and a new Roller Action which adds smoothness to the opening and closing action, the Shubb S1 Deluxe Capo is adjustable and easy to use. The spring loaded roller engages a track which ensures precise alignment. The lever has also been re-designed making opening and closing the Capo easier than ever.
The closing action is more uniform, requiring less adjustment between wider and narrower parts of the neck.
