The Essex SX VEP34 is a vintage inspired short scale Bass Guitar.
Featuring a solid Alder body, one piece Maple neck and 20 fret Rosewood fingerboard, the VEP34 performs well beyond it’s modest price tag.
The precision inspired split pickup and control layout sounds tight and punchy. The single volume and tone controls feature chrome knobs.
The vintage vibe continues with a 3-ply tortoiseshell scratch plate along with chrome vintage machine heads and bridge.
The 30″ scale length of the VEP34 makes it ideal for the beginner bassist. Its short scale also makes it a great transition instrument for guitarists wanting to stretch their wings and play bass. The smaller fret spacing is also perfect for smaller hands.
The VEP34 is great value on its own however, we have given this one our renowned Pro-SCM setup with Rotosound black flat-wound strings and the result is simply, outstanding.
