Small-bodied guitars with a very big voice! Originally conceived in conjunction with Mark Lizotte – a.k.a. “Diesel” the Mini Maton series have become a runaway success with guitarists the world over.
Although physically smaller than a standard Dreadnought, the Mini Matons are a range of guitars that pack a punch well above their weight.
This is the new Maton Mahogany Mini. A beautiful looking guitar with tone to match.
The solid sapele mahogany face, back and sides produce a rich, warm tone while the premium ebony fingerboard and bridge contribute a smooth, glassiness to the overall tone.
A mahogany neck generates classic, crisp neck tones tones and thanks to our pro setup, this one is effortless to play.
This is a classic sounding small guitar capable of producing a wide variety of sounds from smooth jazz to fingerpicking blues and everywhere in between…we are sure that you will be as blown away as we are by this amazing guitar!
The EMM range of Maton Minis is fitted with the superb new Maton AP5 Pro pickup system giving the player the ability to fully exploit the tonal potential of this little guitar in both a live and studio setting. It will also sound wonderful in the comfort of you own lounge room!

Sapele is Native to the tropical rain forests of Africa and is a member of the Mahogany family, often compared to the relatively denser Honduran Mahogany as the tone and characteristics are very much alike. As a denser tonewood, Sapele produces a big, crisp sound with more attack. It is generally more distinctly figured. Sapele is a highly desirable tonewood. It is sustainable, relatively fast-growing that tonally delivers the warmth associated with mahogany and thanks to the extra density, it does so with a little extra treble punch and clarity.
The Mahogany Mini Maton EMM6 makes a great traveller guitar as well as a smooth Live performance axe.
