The hallmark of Cort’s Gold series is the Aged to Vintage (ATV) treatment that allows the Grade A+ solid Sitka spruce top to cure and open up more over time. ATV acts as a torrefaction process, giving the Gold-A6 a big, open tone that’s bright, yet natural with a strong and warm midrange that’s reinforced by the solid Pau Ferro back and sides. A sonically enhanced UV finish protects both the instrument and tonal quality, and is now available in a new Light Burst color option in addition to Natural Gloss. And Fishman’s sophisticated modern design and innovative technical engineering, the Fishman Flex Blend System offers a wide range of sonic control along with a built-in tuner.

This is a fine guitar still, our regular customers are fussy and our Pro-SCM setup ensures optimum playability. Frets are checked for level, the ends are hand rolled and the frets then polished. Both fretboard and bridge are oiled and polished. If you have a preference for string height, let us know when you make your purchase. The nut will be deburred of sharp edges and nut slots cut to ensure easy action. The saddle will also be check and adjusted as required. Once again, this is your opportunity to have this guitar set up to your requirements. Cort provide 12-53 gauge strings. If you would like your brand new guitar set up with a different gauge or brand of strings, let us know – you only pay for the strings!

The connection between a guitar’s neck and body is another key factor for great sound. On the Gold, we started with a tight fitting traditional dovetail neck joint. We then reinforced it by adding a bolt. This DoubleLock neck joint maximizes the transfer of tone and enhances resonance on the Gold.

The neck on the Gold has been reinforced for added rigidity and stability using two special inserts. This is constructed with two pieces of walnut installed to add stability while still retaining the natural properties of wood to further upgrade the Gold.

With a sophisticated modern design and innovative technical engineering, the Fishman Flex Blend System offers a wide range of sonic control along with a built-in tuner. Volume, Tone, Phase, Blend and Tuner functions are all available from three knobs and the tuner display. You can also adjust the Tone knob to best suit fingerpicking or strumming techniques without feedback issues and other sonic anomalies while delivering the most natural acoustic sound to your amplification system.

Minimalistic and lightweight while offering very precise tuning capability, these tuners operate smoothly and reliably while exuding a luxurious vintage look to perfectly complement the high-end features on the Gold Series guitars.
