The Samson GoMic Direct is a ground breaking USB condenser microphone that features an ultra-compact design and plugs directly into your Mac or PC’s USB port without a cable and, without blocking the other ports.
It records at CD quality with full 16-bit, 44.1kHz resolution and is great for podcasting, recording music, recording sound for YouTube videos and much more.
It’s also great for Skype, FaceTime and voice recognition applications. The Go Mic Direct also features the Samson Sound Deck Noise Cancellation Software (Mac OS X/Windows), allowing you to capture pristine, accurate vocal communications and recordings in any environment.

The GoMic Direct utilises two microphone capsules and is capable of recording in an omnidirectional polar pattern for superb 360 degree pickup, or a Figure-8 (bidirectional) pickup pattern for increased rejection of disruptive noises such as typing and computer fan buzz.
The Go Mic Direct’s custom, ultra-compact design features a built-in USB connector that allows the mic to be plugged directly into your computer without blocking surrounding ports. In addition, the connector is retractable for maximum portability and safe transport when not in use.
Compatible with both Mac OS X and Windows, Go Mic Direct offers convenient plug-and-play operation with no driver installation required. Its also works with iPads and iPhones (4S and later) using Apple’s Lightning USB Camera Adapter or Camera Connection Kit (30-pin), making it a great tool for mobile podcasting, popular speech-to-text software and field recording.
SoundDeck Noise Reduction Software Download
At the core of the Go Mic Direct is the Samson Sound Deck Noise Cancellation Software, available as a free download from Samson’s website. Upon download, the software resides on your computer’s taskbar and provides incredible features for online communication. Sound Deck uses Digital Noise Reduction algorithms to minimise recurring background noise from loud environments, ensuring only clean, natural sounding vocals are received by your family, friends or business associates. They’ll feel as if you were in the room talking to them live.
It also allows you to switch the mic from an omnidirectional pickup pattern to a Figure-8 (bidirectional) pickup pattern. SoundDeck software is available as a digital download from Samson after purchase of your GoMic Direct.
