Now Ibanez and Joe Satriani have collaborated yet once again resulting in the all new limited Edition JS1CR electric guitar. This delicious example of guitar art continues the Chrome Boy legacy. Just like the JS1CR-30, this beauty takes the concept to another level – and then some.
The JS1CR electric guitar features a 3-piece Maple/Bubinga neck with a JS profile for stability and an enhanced playing surface. The thin neck boasts Ibanez’s Prestige fret treatment and Rosewood fretboard – the JS1CR is a dream machine.
Joe has specified the harmonically rich DiMarzio Satchur8 humbucking pickup in the bridge position. Even at the highest gain settings, notes are tight and articulate with superb definition. Fernandes’ Sustainiac circuit is the Satchur8’s bed partner allowing you to stretch your notes into infinity at will. Simply kick in the Sustainiac circuit, play a note or chord and get ready for infinite sustain.
Beyond that, a push-pull highpass filter maintains your tone as you roll the volume control back. Your definition and edge are maintained as you clean up your tone giving you unbridled control over your amplifier simply with the volume knob.
This JS1CR also features an Ultralite tremolo arm for effortless twisting, bending, and dive-bombing.

To honor the world-renowned Joe Satriani Signature Series , the Ibanez R&D team worked closely with Joe to develop a finish that was worthy of both Joe’s approval and of the Chrome Boy moniker. Each and every JS1 Chrome Boy will have passed stringent Ibanez quality control standards, however due to the unique nature of this striking finish, some minor imperfections may be expected and are considered normal.
