Designed and built to satisfy fans of the Slant Cab style and tone but unable to deal with the sheer size of a Quad Box, the Rectifier® 2 x 12″ Vertical Slant delivers.
Featuring almost the same interior area as the Horizontal 212 Recto cab and with similar tone, punch and detail, the Slant-style cabinet is preferred by some players for the ‘monitor’ effect from the top speaker sloping upwards.

The Mesa/Boogie 212 Rectifier Standard Vertical Slant speaker cabinet has been constructed using the finest Void-free, Marine Grade Baltic Birch Ply. The rabbet corners are glued and nailed for enhanced strength while the speaker baffles feature superior Dado joint construction and bracing for optimum rigidity.
The speaker grille is wrapped around a separate grille board, not the baffle board like inferior cabinets. The grille material has been woven from strong twisted jute that has been dipped in a special coating that filters out harsh high frequencies resulting in a sweeter response.
So, when you can’t (or simply don’t want to) bring a 4×12 Quad Box to the gig or session, the Mesa/Boogie 212 Rectifier Standard Vertical Slant Cab easily provides a similar sonic footprint, without the size & weight . . . and it’s styling and huge tone will have most folks thinking that it actually is a 4 x 12″ Boogie Quad Box!
