To our ears, Engelmann has a slightly richer midrange than Sitka Spruce, resulting in a smooth, refined and mature tone with excellent focus and projection while the Rosewood back and sides enhances the lower frequencies. The UC-5 s an instrument that punches well above its weight – we believe that it is a bargain.
