Let's keep it local!If you are considering the purchase of a musical item or instrument please contact us before you take your purchase overseas and your money leaves our shores forever. Yes, there are good luck stories and some people have got a bargain. What you don't hear about (and it's not in the media's interest to tell you) are the thousands of people that get ripped off weekly, people that believe what they read and get stung...badly. By the time you factor in freight costs, Taxes, Duty, no free local service or backup and the cost of sending faulty goods back to the country from which you originally bought your item, you'll find that your bargain has become something of a toothless tiger - you will not have an Australian warranty on goods purchased overseas. Australian distributors of International Brands do not offer warranty on goods purchased outside of Australia and nor should they...c'mon, fair go!. Once you have factored in all the hidden "extras" that no-one mentions when they buy from outside of Australia, we believe that you will be surprised at just how little you will actually pay when you shop with southcoastmusic. Next time you think about importing something from America because its cheaper, think about this...In the USA wages are much, much lower, there is no Medicare, no four weeks holidays, no leave loading, no superannuation etc etc - its also the biggest market in the world and some manufacturers will sell at or near cost to obtain and keep market share.
