Epiphone ES355 Electric Guitar White Limited Edition Epiphone ES Hard Case included The Epiphone Ltd Ed ES 355 Semi Acoustic Guitar is a resurrection of one of the most iconic guitar designs of all time. When it was first introduced in 1958, the ES 355 style was the world’s first thinline archtop semi electric guitar, a bold new design that combined the cutting, bell like sustain of a solid body with the darker, complex tones of an archtop. The ES 355 also incorporated the humbucker pickup, a relatively new design that would also be quickly embraced by both rock and blues players. Many think of the ES 355 as one of the best electrics ever made and it’s found in the collection of all discriminating guitarists including B.B. King, Keith Richards, Jorma Kaukonen, Chuck Berry, and Noel Gallagher. Now with this Limited Edition Epiphone ES 355 you can have one in your collection, too. The Limited Edition ES 355’s unique tonal range was the result of its groundbreaking design. A wood block runs through the center of the body so the pickups are mounted much the same way as in a solid body guitar allowing for two hollow chambered areas over the violin style f  holes and in the double cutaway wings. This Alpine White Limited Edition ES 355 body is constructed of 5 layer laminated Maple. The solid Mahogany 24.75” SlimTaper  1960s “D” profile neck features an Ebony fingerboard with a 12” radius and a 1.68” nut width. The neck has classic Mother of Pearl “Block” inlays and a vintage style Mother of Pearl “Split Diamond” headstock design. To top off the vintage styling, Epiphone have included a “Tortoise” style pickguard with multi binding. Tuning stability is assured with gold Grover 14:1 ratio machine heads, a gold Epiphone LockTone Tune o matic bridge and a gold Bigsby Tremelo.  The volume and tone knobs, one for each pickup, are Black Speed with pointers for easy reference while on stage. No detail of the original ES 355 has been missed. The Limited Edition ES 355 incorporates Alnico ClassicTM humbuckers in the neck and bridge position.  Patterned after the original Gibson  57 Classics, the Alnico Classic pickups use Alnico V magnets with enamel wire to give you a tone that is warm and subtle with full, even response that will still give you that classic humbucker overdrive when you need it The 3 way Epiphone Toggle pickup selector switch is a deep, aged vintage yellow and is wired for the standard configuration with position one controlling the neck pickup’s volume and tone while position two controls the bridge pickup’s volume and tone. We are also including an Epiphone ES Hard Case to keep your new guitar safe and sound Epiphone ES355 l i m i t e d  e d i t i o n   features include: Body Material: 5 Ply Laminated Maple Finish: Alpine White Gloss Neck Material: Mahogany Neck Shape: SlimTaper   1960 s D profile Neck Joint: Glued In, Set Neck Body Binding: Five Ply   White Black Neck Binding: Single Ply   White Headstock Binding:Five Ply   White Black Scale Length: 24.75 Fingerboard Material: Ebony Fingerboard Radius: 12 Fingerboard Inlays: Mother of Pearl  Blocks Headstock Inlay: Mother of Pearl  Split Diamond Pickguard: Imitation  Tortoise shell  with multi ply binding Nut Width: 1.68 Hardware finish: Gold Machine Heads: Grover; 14:1 ratio Neck Pickup: Alnico Classic Humbucker Bridge Pickup: Alnico Classic Plus Humbucker Controls: 1 Neck Volume, 1 Neck Tone, 1 Bridge Volume, 1 Bridge Tone Knobs: Black Speed Knobs with pointers Pickup Selector: Epiphone All Metal 3 way Toggle Switch Bridge: Epiphone LockTone Tune o matic Tailpiece: Genuine Bigsby Tremolo Truss Rod: Adjustable Truss Rod Cover: Bell Shaped 2 ply INCLUDES Epiphone ES Hard Case $189.00 value Epiphone ES355 l i m i t e d  e d i t i o n e l e c t r i c   s p a n i s h    ES    e l e c t r i c   g u i t a r WHITE  f i n i s h

Blackstar HT-DUAL FX Pedal BLACKSTAR HT-DUAL TWO CHANNEL PURE VALVE OVERDRIVE AND DISTORTION PEDAL This is the pedal of the nought ies…the Blackstar HT-Dual There has been a WAVE of excitement over the flagship of the Blackstar amplification Ht Pedal range. Blackstar is a relatively new British company, launching in 2007, that boasts an R&D and engineering team that cut its teeth with perhaps the biggest amp name of all time…Marshall. Breaking out on their own in this new venture, Blackstar has made quite a name for themselves with a range of amps and valve-driven pedals. The HT-DUAL is loaded with a single Russian-made ECC83 dual-triode preamp valve, backlit to glow red. The valve runs off a full 300-volt circuit, hence HT in the name: HT for high-tension meaning high voltage . This is widely accepted by many to offer better tone, gain and overload characteristics than low-voltage valve pedals. The HT-DUAL also offers an addition called an ISF Infinite Shape Feature control. Unlike more familiar contour circuits, the ISF enables you to move the entire EQ section voicing between what you d expect of two classic amplifier tone circuits: Fender at one end and Marshall at the other. The ISF came about because we were looking for a way to voice testbed amplifiers for artists, explains Blackstar s technical director, Bruce Keir. We needed a way to continuously vary the tone beyond what was available from existing amplifiers. This would enable the player to create their signature sound before we locked it off in their preferred setting. The method we came up with gave the ability to not only get the standard reference tones, but also the in-between never-before-attainable voicings as well. It worked so effectively and so simply that we decided to make it a feature available for all guitarists to use. A handy tool indeed, the ISF control broadly apes the tonal response of classic 6L6- or EL34-powered amps, plus many points in between. Be amongst the elite Australian musicians who have staked their claim to the pure Valve tone of Blackstar at southcoastmusic…the store where serious guitarists shop Do you dare ignore it? The HT-DUAL offers the ultimate in high voltage valve distortion flexibility. Channel 1 has either Clean or Crunch modes so it can be used clean, as a boost or overdrive. Channel 2 gives distortion tones from super crunch right up to screaming lead. The unique switching operation will transform a single channel vintage amp into a three channel tone machine. The ISF control takes you from

Nylon Strings

Silver wound nylon string sets designed for classical guitars to deliver a clean, soft and mellow tone.

Nylon strings are also softer on your fingers, making the classical guitar a great starting point for those just beginning.

About Classical Guitar Strings:

Albert Augustine, an instrument maker from New York, USA, was the first to produce guitar strings in nylon. According to Rose Augustine,[1] his wife, he was unable to secure source materials due to the war restrictions and happened upon nylon line in an army surplus store in Greenwich Village. When initially approached by him the Dupont company, who manufactured the material, were unconvinced that guitarists would accept nylon’s sonic characteristics. Augustine staged a blind test with company representatives from DuPont, they happened to choose nylon over gut as having the best “guitar sound”. The DuPont company then supported Augustine’s initiative. Augustine classical guitar strings were first commercially manufactured in 1948, in conjunction with Olinto Mari, President of E.& O. Mari/La Bella Strings at their factory in Long Island City New York.

The Yamaha CS101C offers excellent playability combined with superb tone and provides those young learners lucky enough to own an instrument of this calibre, an instrument that keeps practice inspirational and exciting!   CS101C click on the image to enlarge Yamaha’s roots are based in Music and their reputation is crowned with an unwerving level of excellence in everything that they do. Regardless of which Yamaha Workshop and instrument is built in – it is always “made in Yamaha”. SPANISH HERITAGE It’s a well lknown fact amongst “those in the know” that much of the knowledge, techniques and basic designs used in creating Yamaha’s classical guitars were gained under the tutelage of two of the World’s most prominent Master Guitar Makers of the day (today we just call them Luthiers), Snr. Eduardo Ferrer and Snr. Manuel Hernandez (Hernandez y Aguado). Yamaha indentured their finest craftsmen to study under the tutelage of Eduardo Ferrer where they learned the time honoured and traditional way to create truly fine acoustic guitars…some say the “only” way. The knowledge and experience gained from these Apprenticeships led to the introduction of Yamaha’s renowned Grand Concert series guitars. The owner of South Coast Music, John Kuts was fortunate enough himself, to have been given a Yamaha No. 100 all solid construction, Hand Made Classical Guitar by his Parents in the early 1970’s which he treasures to this day. Yamaha then went on to further their knowledge under the guidance of the celebrated Spanish Guitar Building Master, Snr. Manuel Hernandez, who provided invaluable technical assistance to the Yamaha Apprentices. This fruitful relationship led to further development and refinement of the Grand Concert series and gave Yamaha’s master craftsmen the knowledge and experience necessary to develop original models such as the highly sought after GC70. cs101c-3scmusic click on the image to enlarge The knowledge that Snrs Ferrer and Hernadez shared, from the critical selection of materials for their tonal as well as aesthetic quality, right down to the fine art of finishing and polishing allowed Yamaha to cultivate the techniques and sensitivity it takes to make the finite adjustments and subtle modifications that traditional guitar production and the World’s Top Player’s demand. In this day of modern technology and computer controlled manufacturing, it is becoming increasingly harder to find the kind of reverence and dedication to traditional building methods that Yamaha’s master craftsmen possess. Yamaha are proud of the skills they have acquired and at southcoastmusic, we are proud to be able to offer for sale, the calibre of guitar that those skills have allowed Yamaha to create. DISCONTINUED (too expensive to produce) AND ULTRA-RARE! We have two only, brand new examples of the superb CS101C 3/4 size Classical Guitars left for sale. They are brand new, unplayed and represent real value-for-money for a serious, smaller sized Classical Guitar.
