Featuring Jim Dandy Parlor guitar inspired dimensions with a length of 17.87″, a width of 13″ and depth of 3.75″, the Gin Rickey is a great guitar for those with small hands.

Inspired by the Gretsch® Rex parlor guitars of old, the Gin Rickey whisks you back to the halcyon days when the earliest Gretsch guitars fuelled many a barrelhouse barn burner.

The vintage look is all class and this finely crafted guitar features an X-braced basswood body with a powerfully resonant voice.

The “C”-profile Nato neck joins the body at the 12th fret and features a smooth walnut fingerboard with 18 vintage-style frets and Pearloid dot inlays. There is also a top-load Walnut bridge with compensated synthetic Bone saddle for even intonation all along the neck and more. And coolest of the cool, the Gretsch Deltoluxe acoustic magnetic soundhole pickup reproduces a crisp yet throaty voice.

Tone-wise, the G9520E has a hearty voice when played acoustically however, plug it into an amplifier and the Gretsch Deltoluxe Soundhole Pickup will take you to another place altogether. The Deltoluxe pickup is the Gin Rickey’s secret tone weapon – a fabulous, no-nonsense magnetic soundhole pickup inspired by vintage DeArmond pickups that can transform the guitar from a sweet strummer to a blues monster in an instant.

Whether bluesy porch pickin’ or speakeasy swingin’, the G9520E Gin Rickey Acoustic/Electric with Deltoluxe Soundhole Pickup is a 100% finger-zinger classic.

Other classic appointments include aged white body binding and an aged white “G”-graphic pickguard, gold-and-white soundhole rosette with gold double-line top striping, nickel hardware, vintage-style end-pin strap buttons and open-gear die-cast tuners.

The colour? Smokestack Black – of course!

Pro-SCM Professional Setup

While the Rickey is a great guitar, we agree with the reviews we have read that basically, it needs a setup. So, you can save a few bucks and buy it elsewhere then pay someone else a couple of hundred dollars to make it play as it should – or buy it now with our Pro-SCM setup. Our skilled Guitar Technicians basically check and adjust anything that requires attention. Our Pro-SCM setup includes:

• Check that the action meets factory specifications or better – tell us what you want.
• Check and rectify any buzzing, intonation or playability issues
• Check and adjust the nut and bridge string heights
• Hand roll the fret ends to remove any sharp edges, polish the frets, oil the fretboard
• Test electronics, pots and switches for correct function
• Inspect instrument construction and condition of the strings
• Ensure mechanical devices work properly such as tuners
• Tune to pitch

You could expect to pay at least $200 for a setup of this level. It is included in our asking price.
